She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and went to Paris in 1920 to continue her studies under Antoine Bourdelleat the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Judson was influenced by Chinese sculpture and the work of French sculptor Aristide Maillol, whom she met in Paris.

She taught sculpture at the American University in Cairo in 1963. She cast during her career her bronze sculptures in the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli.
