THE ‘NEW’ SAN MATTHEW BY GHIBERTI AT ORSANMICHELE

On 21 September 2007 the inauguration of the Original Posthumous casting of Marinelli’s St. Matthew by Ghiberti was accompanied by a spectacular costume party organized by the City of Florence. The original bronze was moved to the Museum of Orsanmichele, on the first floor of the Gothic building.
