STUDY OF ANCIENT TECHNIQUES AT ‘ANTEA’ IN MURLO

The “Laboratory of Archaeometry and Experimental Archaeology on Antique Handcrafted Techniques” in Murlo, Siena, headed by Prof. Edilberto Formigli, sought the cooperation of the Marinelli Foundry to study the realization of ancient bronzes. The Marinelli Foundry  participated by bringing in Murlo an high museum quality posthumous first edition original of the Idolino of Pesaro (Bronze Roman copy of a greek original of the fifth century), on which the experiments were made.
