COLUMBUS AWARD 2020 FOR ART TO MARINELLI FOUNDRY
This year the awards ceremony of the XXXIX edition of the Columbus Award organized by the Rotary Club Firenze Est was held on 12 October at the monumental complex of Santa Maria Novella. The important award was born in the immediate postwar period on the initiative of the Municipality with the aim of representing the historical and economic ties with America. Since then the winners have been of high profile: Nobel laureates such as Renato Dulbecco and Rita Levi Montalcini – who received the Columbus before the Nobel – up to entrepreneurs and institutions that have honored Italy-America relations with particular reference to Tuscany.
