Born in Chicago in 1916, he graduated at Yale College and the Yale School of Fine Arts in 1939. For two years has lived and worked in Japan and China. In the ’50s, after the war, lived and worked in France. In 1955 came in Florence to work in Ferdinando Marinelli Artistic Foundry, and he never abandoned it: each year, until his death in 1999, he returned to Florence to work in the Ferdinando Marinelli Artistic Foundry for several months, where his entire production has been cast.
